Yeehaw, Florida! The countdown is officially on for one of the most anticipated events of the season—Hangar Hootenanny, a rollickin’ Western-themed fundraiser hosted by Edgewater Rotary, is just three weeks away and shaping up to be a night of unforgettable fun, community pride, and country charm.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach, this high-energy celebration kicks off on Saturday, September 27 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, transforming the venue into a full-blown frontier town. The Imagineering Team has been hammerin’, buildin’, and dreamin’ up a wild Western wonderland complete with covered wagons, jail cells, and a toe-tappin’ stage that’ll have boots stompin’ and spurs jinglin’.
The entertainment lineup is stacked with talent, featuring rising country star Reed Foley, whose soulful vocals and Southern grit have earned him fans across the Southeast, and Only in America – Honoring Brooks & Dunn, a tribute act that brings the legendary duo’s biggest hits to life with electrifying energy and heartfelt authenticity. Expect a night filled with classics like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and “My Maria” that’ll have the crowd singing and dancing under the stars.
But the music’s just the beginning. Attendees can test their mettle on the mechanical bull, show off their aim in axe throwing, try their hand at rodeo roping, and even participate in the hilarious jail & bail fundraiser—where guests can pay to “lock up” their friends and raise money to bail them out, all in good fun. There’s also line dancing, cornhole, a silent auction, and a Western costume contest where the best-dressed cowboys and cowgirls will strut their stuff for prizes and bragging rights.
