Daytona Beach, FL — The crave is officially coming to the coast. White Castle, America’s original fast-food hamburger chain, has announced plans to open a new location in Daytona Beach, marking its fourth freestanding restaurant in Florida.

The new White Castle will be built at 1944 LPGA Boulevard, just west of Clyde Morris Boulevard, and is slated to open in late summer 2026. The restaurant will feature indoor and outdoor seating, along with two drive-thru lanes designed for direct-to-car service. According to company officials, the Daytona location will create over 70 new jobs for local residents.

“This commitment marks the next exciting step in our Florida expansion,” said Jamie T. Richardson, Vice President of White Castle. “Daytona’s vibrant, growing community is a perfect match for our fun-loving, customer-centric brand. We’re eager to meet the crave and become part of the fabric of this community”.

White Castle first opened in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas, and is widely credited with launching the fast-food industry. Known for its signature sliders—small square burgers cooked over onions—the chain has grown to over 335 locations nationwide, including its flagship Orlando restaurant, which holds the title of the largest White Castle in the world.

For many Daytona locals, this will be their first taste of the cult-favorite chain. And while comparisons to McDonald’s are inevitable, White Castle fans insist the experience is entirely its own—offering sliders, chicken rings, mozzarella sticks, and even cheesecake-on-a-stick.
