Edgewater, FL — In response to growing public concern and circulating misinformation, Mayor Diezel Depew issued a direct statement this week to clarify the city’s fiscal stance for the upcoming year.

> “There’s something I want to clear up which the residents seem a little confused on,” Depew said. “There are NO utility bill increases this year. We have kept our rate the same for this upcoming year. And there are NO property tax increases from the City of Edgewater—that has also remained the same.”

Mayor Depew emphasized that he has never supported or voted for any kind of increases, and credited the Edgewater City Council for working diligently to maintain financial stability without burdening residents.

> “This council fought hard to make this occur this year,” he added.

Residents with questions or concerns are encouraged to contact Mayor Depew directly at 386-843-2639 for clarification.
